Along with this, make a list of qualities that you truly want in a man such as kindness, reliability, and emotional availability.  These are the qualities that lead to long-term happiness and stability so you must not waiver on them in the beginning, no matter how good looking or charming he is.

3. Redefine What’s “Attractive”

  • Focus on Emotional Safety: Start valuing traits that make you feel safe, valued, and supported over fleeting excitement. Realize that love doesn’t have to be tumultuous or hard to be real and meaningful. And remember, anyone can have sex with you, but not everyone is willing to commit to you.   It’s possible to find excitement in stability because you’ll want that in the long run and when things get tough. Reframe stability as a source of joy and security rather than boredom. A good guy’s dependability can be deeply attractive when seen through this lens.

Breaking away from the allure of the “bad boy” and embracing the good guy isn’t about settling—it’s about choosing the kind of love that nurtures your happiness and growth. By shifting your mindset, valuing healthy qualities, and recognizing your own worth, you can create the foundation for a fulfilling, lasting relationship with someone who truly respects and adores you.
